We are Looking for GJAC Ambassadors to Give Jeans & Jackets a Chance in Your Community
Do you want to do more then just drop off a couple pairs of jeans? Are you a community leader in your neighborhood, at your school? Do you want to earn your chance at a $1500 grant to a non-profit organization of your choice and then tell your story on FUEL TV?
If so, follow these simple steps:
- Repeat this mantra three times: “I am ready to Give Jeans and Jackets a Chance.”
- Decide where you’re going to set up your collection headquarters: Your home? Your school? Your church or local community center? Your retail establishment?
- Click here to download any posters and fliers you think you might need.
- Set up your collection bins.
- Spread the word via Facebook, Twitter, your phone, and any other way you might choose to communicate.
- Document your journey.
- Contact us at givejeansachance@volcom.com to tell us who you are, and how you’re collecting.
- Continue documenting your journey.
- By the October 31st, 11:59 PST:
- Find a homeless shelter in your community and establish a contact there.
- Arrange a drop off at your selected shelter.
- If you plan on entering the contest to win, please clearly document your drop off with video and/or photos, and use our official drop off form to verify your drop off.
- Send in your official jeans & jackets count and your story to us here.
- Winners of this DIY contest will be announced on Friday November 18th, 2011.
